A few weeks ago, an explosion in the Nitrous Oxide Corporation in Florida gave some dentists concern that their supply of nitrous oxide would be cut off after the FDA issued a shortage warning. The operations facility in Cantonment, Florida is owned and operated by Airgas Corporation and supplies the precious gas to end-users like Chester County Family Dentistry through suppliers such as Robert’s Oxygen here in West Chester. A statement was issued last week saying that they expect a return to full capacity by this week. We can all breathe a sigh of relief…and a puff of your favorite analgesic.
